It is Kurt's Birthday

Hi, Everybody! Here are some fun pics of Kurtis in honor of his birthday! We really appreciate you kids calling us to see how we are doing. That means a lot. Sara took the challenge of doing something for someone in need in honor of Kurtie's birthday. She called her local shelter and found out they needed fresh eggs and milk. Off to Costco she went and she and the kids made their special delivery. I think that was so perfect and so Kurtis.

Angie is on the road back from Southern Calif. and she called and said she is getting a McDonald's gift card and giving it to the first bum she sees! Kurtis would approve. This giving to the needy reminds me of a time when Kurtis was working at Costco in Santa Rosa and he had just cashed his paycheck and had several hundred dollars in his wallet. There was a bum out front of Costco and he reached in to get a dollar bill for this person. He mistakenly pulled out a $100 bill and gave it him. After he was inside a bit he checked his wallet and found out his mistake! He ran back out front but of course, the bum was long gone.

Thanks for keeping his memory alive! It will be great when we are all together with him on the other side. We're also attaching a little something Kelly wrote about Kurtis. She is the writer of the family. It's a fun memory she had with him.
